Entry #5: My response to "Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads"

Through out my personal educational experience, in my opinion, I came to the conclusion that the schooling system in the United States is a rip off and extremely over priced. Although many will disagree with my opinion, here's why I think that... First off I continued my education after high school in 2014. For the past three years I really cannot say I learned something that changed my life that I will always need and use. But then again this is my 4th year in school and I'm looking at about 7 more years. Most likely somewhere in the next years, I will stumble across a new learning experience.

Now, after reading Doug Ducey's thoughts about the toughest of why Arizona needs more college grads, I would not necessarily say I disagree with him. Yes, I still believe its a rip off and a big growing business, but I also still agree with him.

"Earning a certificate or degree, or both, after high school opens the door to countless economic opportunities". I defiantly believe that education equals opportunity today. With so many jobs out there, and a percentage amount of people graduation, of course the person with a degree or certification is most likely to find a job and be a better qualified candidate.

I defiantly agree with his statement, "The reality is that educated households have better long-term financial stability". Its true! Not necessarily for everyone, but for the majority yes it is.

Do I agree with what will happen is we reach 60%? Yeas and no. I think it would be ideal and good for the  economy and people, but I dont necessarily think it would be so easy. There is always a possibility, but then again 60% is a lot of people! That is a huge chunk of Arizona's population.

All in all, I think he has really good intentions and wants to best for Arizona and it's economy.

Choosing The Right Habitat For Your Russian Tortoise

Many people have pets such as dogs, cats, fish, ferrets, etc. but did you know Russian tortoises make great pets as well? The Russian tortoise is one of the smallest species of tortoises ever! Their size ranged from 5-10 inches, depending on gender. Males tend to be smaller then females. This makes them great pets in many ways. They are small! A small tortoise, such as the Russian tortoise can be housed indoors or outdoors depending on the climate you live in and they make great pets! Indoor Enclosure Depending on what kind of climate you live in, indoor enclosures may be the choice for you. The bigger the terrarium  is the better.  If you decide to keep your Russian tortoise indoors keep in mind the temperature should be in the range of 68 to 80 degrees. Indoor enclosures should consist of a substrate. Many people like using a combination of soil and mulch. You can also purchase a substrate at your local pet store, but if your looking to keep costs at a minimum plain old...

BLOGS, BLOGS, AND MORE BLOGS! What do you think?

People are always wanting to become a "Bloggers", whether it be personal or professional. It can be interesting how people compose their blogs. Some look so engaging while others do not. Since I'm giving this " blog life" a shot I decided I would do some research of my own. I came across a few blogs. Some I enjoyed and really admire, while others not so much. I like to start off with the negative and the blogs I didn't enjoy as much and then ending on a good note.  The first blog I came across was: All the Xbox One Indie, Third-Party and First-Party Launch Titles by Matt Peckham The moment I opened this blog I knew I did not like it before even reading the post and what it is about. The layout to me looked more like a article then blog. I do understand that this is a professional blog, but in my eyes it looks like a advertisement more so.  As I read through the article and learned a little about the Xbox, I felt like it left me hanging. Maybe the author...

Extra Credit: My Reaction to Michael Moore’s film Capitalism: A Love Story

After watching Michael Moore's Film Capitalism: A Love Story, I have many thoughts roaming my head. First off I don't agree with everything he says. The number one thing I do not agree with is his perception of eviction. My mother is a real estate broker and there are laws that protect home owners. It is illegal to evict someone without proper notice and reason. The home owner has the break either a rule they signed in their agreement or they did not pay their rent/mortgage. Who knows what the story behind the eviction is in this film. To me it is clearly very bias. Personally I think Michael Moore exaggerates a lot! He used the word capitalism in a bad way. To him capitalism is a terrible word and basically a curse word. In my opinion Michael Moore is a socialist and isn't that word "socialist" a evil word as well? The way Moore perceives capitalism and democracy is very exaggerated and inaccurate. I do agree with him when it comes to the corruption of this c...
